CGF's lamination solutions provide high performance responses to companies concerned with environmental protection, as they make it possible to considerably reduce the use of
materials of fossil origin.
This strategy of ecological responsibility is notably expressed by:
. A factory with top-quality environmental standards
. The purchasing policy
. The dematerialisation of information
. Eco-design and reduction at source
. Waste
processing.
A FACTORY WITH TOP-QUALITY ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS
The design of the buildings in the new factory, constructed in collaboration with the DRIRE (Regional Departments of Industry, Research and the Environment), has largely contributed to the development
of manufacturing methods, particularly ink formulations.
THE PURCHASING POLICY
All raw materials are supplied within Europe, which guarantees:
. The limitation of transport costs and greenhouse gas emissions,
. The assurance of labour legislation favourable to employees,
. The assurance of manufacturing methods compliant
with the regulations in force in the European Union.
THE DEMATERIALISATION OF INFORMATION
The extranet and EDI solutions provided by CGF enable the rapid development of "zero paper" exchanges.
ECO-DESIGN OR REDUCTION AT SOURCE
. Inks and glues: water-based formulations
. Cardboards: produced using recycled fibres and reduced basis weights
. Films: reduction of film thickness.
WASTE PROCESSING
An action plan was set up in 2007 to achieve a profile of excellence in waste processing. The objective of 95% recycled or recovered waste was achieved at the end of 2007. CGF resolutely continues
its efforts to optimise its ethical and environmental behaviour.
